While serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, I met my husband, and were married in 2005. After serving, I went back to college and received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science in 2010 from Sonoma State University in California. I worked in the healthcare industry including the Prosthetics Department at the Seattle VA Hospital after graduating, and then, stayed home with my daughters after my youngest was born. When my girls started preschool, I began my teaching career by substituting. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my teaching certification. This is my second year teaching. Last year I taught special education, and this year, I'm teaching my favorite subject: SCIENCE!
When I'm not at the school, you can find me hanging out with my family. We love to travel, visit the zoo, roller skate, bike ride/walk around our neighborhood with our pups, read books, play board games (yes, we have game night at our house) and watch movies!
