My name is Joanna Dickison, and I will be your Cyber Foundations teacher for the 2018-19 school year. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2000. I earned my first Master’s Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2016, and my second Masters Degree from the same school in May 2018. I have taught for eighteen years, and sixteen of those years have been here at OBMS. I look forward to getting to know you and your student this year.

I began my teaching career at a very small but high performing school in northeast Texas, Sam Rayburn Independent School District.  I taught 5th and 6th grade Language Arts for two years.  Upon relocating to Olive Branch Mississippi in 2002, I began working at OBMS, and I am very proud to have worked at our school ever since! I have taught eighteen years now, and sixteen of them have been right here at OBMS. Quistor Pride!

I was born and raised in the Great Republic of Texas. I moved to Mississippi in 2002, and I've enjoyed getting to know the area and the people here.

I love many different sports, but baseball is my favorite. My dad was a Willie Mays fan, so he loved the San Francisco Giants. He raised all of his kids, my brothers and me, to be Giants fans, too! I have seen the Giants play many times in Texas and St. Louis, but in 2017, I was able to attend my first game at AT&T Park in San Francisco, California! It was great to cheer for the hometeam for a change!
